VFX Pipeline tips with Blender and Natron!
I wanted to learn how to make animation using the puppet pin tool, but it's not in the program 😢
Why not use UV pass true you have to render everytime but faster
That's amazing! . It looks somewhat complex but the result it gives is impressive. I'm going to learn how to handle Natron
I saw a comment from you on another video: "The weakness of natron is the lack of 3D". So in Natron no projection mapping/3D of any kind/Motion graphics. Other than that it has all the bells and whistles other compositors have on a general level?
At the basic level, yes. You can do a lot of cool stuff with it. It's the best open source compositor that I know of. From a feature standpoint though, Fusion is much more capable than Natron. And if you can afford it, Nuke Indie is the best option I think.
Awesome, thanks
Is Natron the best tool to make videos like this? ruclips.net/video/TF4UV_lYl_k/видео.htmlsi=CxstlY_w1aQmZKVO Thanks in advance.
thank you for your teaching
anyone know how id do slow motion in natron
Why you used log2linear and linear2log node. What is its importance ?
The footage was shot log, or flat. It's difficult to composite that way. Log2Lin converts the colors into something more natural. At the end of the comp, you add the opposite to make it log again so you retain all the color for grading later in Resolve.
How do I get the HUD brush in psd? I can't find it
It's a third party brush you have to download
amazing!
Does nuke software cost?
very unstable software
Yes man, keep going, very nice....
Sokkal jobb a réteg alapú... Az nicnsen túlbonyolítva és időhatékony.
I'm still surprised I've only ever found out about Natron a few days ago, and I was specifically looking for free Nuke alternatives.. I think this software is too underrated.
ur so genius thx mate
How do you make this work in Blender 3.0.1? I can render a very dark image with no colour. The tutorial is amazing.
nice to see Natron tutorials
hey can you do a natron tutorial in 2022? Please. Thanks you 😄
👽😍😍😍

Finally, I'm where I wanted. Thanks million for teaching.
What would you say to be the best Node-based alternative to AE?
Nuke. Its also the one used in every Hollywood movie.
If you use AE....Nuke maybe a too big of a leap. Fusion is a much more accessible option in my opinion. I guess DaVinci Resolve is just a good choice.
Dude, if your still around, a big thanks from all of us. I come from after effects, so it's a new workflow for me, but I'll get used to it.
Glad it’s helpful!
To answer your question: I'm not even sure I've seen a Star Wars movie before. Probably once when I was young and drunk. I liked Star Trek.
I'm completely new to this and am just checking it out for the first time. Quick question: I've seen other people use "auto tracking" [something] in videos (not related to light sabres) - does that not exist at all? Thanks and great video!
There’s really no way to auto track that I know of. It has to be by hand
с нейронкой неплохо щас работать, особенно слушать перевод с видео от яндекса
pls dont hide videos from ur list we need to learn from those n love from India 😘
Your videos on Natron are great and you really made me want to discover this incredible software. Thank you ! 👍
Thanks a lot for sharing
I was amazed when I found out that Natron exists. It really needs so little to be competitive with AE. The support for 3D camera and 3D workspace would make the total switch to Linux a breeze. but I guess we still got Blender for all those 3Dimensional features...
I can't delete my video from natron how to fix
i am going to suggest this to someone using AE for informational type videos.
This is nice! Thanks!
Window null chan >.< Bakaa 😆
Please do more about Natron
In AE, you CAN see the final composition while working within pre-comps! You can view your final output at all times by making a new viewer (thus having 2 viewers or more) and locking that viewer (lock icon on top left of viewer window) on the final comp. The second viewer will show you whatever comp you are in while the locked comp shows the final view or any comp you want to lock.
I didn’t say you couldn’t, I said it was a bit of a pain. I don’t want to have to work with two viewers. And the layer based system is totally inefficient
Mind-blowing.. Super, Chris, bravo !
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can your intro logo be made purely on Natron ?! I see this would be a real 3D composition and in natron you only have card3d, but I understood the text would show up only like a thin paper sheet, am I wrong ? Can you please show us how would you do it in Natron ? (or maybe you really did it in natron ??!) Thanks!
I actually used Blender for the Logo. Blender and Natron work really well together
Hey man, you're awesome, and this page of yours is mindblowing: openvisualfx.com/2017/04/27/creating-a-matte-painted-shot-in-blender/ But one desire of mine, could you please TEACH US how would you GENERATE, effectively generate that hill in left of the actress in this composition ??! This is really sci-fi and hollywood style thing, could it be done with blender and natron WITHOUT greenscreen, just roto and other tricks you know ??!

awesome stuff, many thanks.., this is like Iron Man computer eye display stuff from Hollywood ! But one question: if you wanted to last a little bit longer, would you have to manually copy-paste keyframes on the doping page or does natron have such thing as a repeat keyframes function or something like that ???! And another thing, does Natron has a way to group nodes like in a container and view all of those inner nodes only if you want (like in DaVinci Resolve with timeline-in-timeline feature) ?
very nice, thanks ! will natron do 3D in the future ?
Extraordinary man, congrats ! Very nice and useful info, especially with blender, I never knew how to do that tracking... I would love to learn blender only for that thing !
Thank you so much
Nice tutorial. Thanks for you help
I have followed this to the letter, but my images will not move at all, the rotation tools moves but my images will not.
It means, that Blender is Node-Based software? Is it? I don't know.
Yes, Blender is node based, but not very good for compositing
@@ChrisTempel Yes yes, For compositing Nuke is best, and it is Node-Based Right? Friend I have a Question - I'm from India and I am interested in VFX, I visited to an Academy and they told me to start with Compositing and Editing. What's ur Opinion, should I learn Compositing 1st or 3D modeling. Urgently Need a suggestion to join the Institute.
It depends on your interests. I prefer compositing, but I did end up learning 3D first
Wow I really wish I would have known about you way before when you started you are godly.. hahah I really appreciate the effort that you make in order to share your skills with us, Your videos are hugely underrated and high quality.
I appreciate that!
